Converse CONS One Star CC by Sage Elsesser

Converse CONS One Star CC by Sage Elsesser

On one of his frequent travels to Japan, Converse CONS pro skater and overall wonder boy Sage Elsesser stumbled upon a pair of particularly vintage Converse sneakers. Unfamiliar with the specific model, Sage brought home a pair and showed them to the folks at Converse. A quick browse through their extensive archives revealed that the item in question was a 1970s One Star, a model developed for both basketball and tennis. Sadly, the One Star didn’t perform very well, leading to its subsequent cancellation a mere year after its release. In the 1990s, however, the shoe experienced an unanticipated comeback due to its popularity among skateboarders. The shoe’s grip, durability and minimalist design appealed to many skaters. However, the Converse star was now on the side of the shoe instead of the heel as it was the case with the original design. Today, CONS brings back the 1970s versions, updated with Lunarlon insoles and lightweight rubber. The white version comes in smooth leather, while the navy one is made of heavy-duty suede for even more grip. You can buy the Converse Cons One Star Pro CC by Sage Elsesser models both online and in our store in Frankfurt by tomorrow (10th February).
