For their fourth edition of decks, Numbers Edition continues to work with visual artists from across the United States, further refining its art-driven aesthetic and self-image. Whereas previous editions focused on one artist in particular, the fourth features no less than 8 aspiring creative and their work. The advantage of including artists with diverse backgrounds – ranging from graphic design to fine arts – is obviously variety, as no deck graphic looks quite like the other. For instance, the seeming spontaneity of Sonya Sombreuil’s sketch-like crayon drawing is juxtaposed against the almost rigid clarity of Francesco Igory Deiana’s geometric figures. Then again, Aaron Elvis Jupin’s illustration is reminiscent of the work of Carl Barks, featuring the expressiveness of Ligne Claire. As a result of this smorgasbord of styles and techniques, the Numbers Edition 4 offers at least one graphic for anyone, and you had better hurry to grab your favorite deck today.
