Somebody at Nike SB’s design department must really love Jurassic Park. With the new film having come out just recently, they probably thought to themselves: “We need to make a genetically engineered creature of our own!” Luckily for them, Nike has been around for some time now, so excavating old shoe fossils probably wasn’t that much of a challenge: with the Blazer still being an incredibly successful skate shoe, all they had to do was digging for a model they could splice its skateboarding genes with. And, eureka, they found the Chukka boot. Both models are old, but the outcome looks surprisingly fresh: sitting somewhat in the middle between a Blazer Low and Mid, the Nike SB Zoom Blazer Chukka XT (say that three times in a row) comes with embossed Swoosh outlines and a tonal toe-cap, which add a pretty clean look to it. It will definitely take your outfit from the prehistoric to modern times, so people won’t be calling you a „that ugly Triceratops“ behind your back anymore.
