Fucking Awesome Summer 17

When we were kids, there was this thing called Chupa Caps. It was marketed as a new and awesome toy, but it was in fact a fad orchestrated by the candy industry to get everyone to buy their sweet-ass candy. Everyone – and especially candy industry executives - knows that kids are stupid and don’t know shit, and so their evil plan worked kinda as expected. We ended up spending our pocket money on lollipops and hard candy just to collect all the caps – see,  they had limited editions even for fucking made-up toys for little kids, so that’s something to think about when you’re waiting in line for a pair of some shitty limited sneaker – and the most popular caps were the hologram ones. The hologram ones you could flip, and they would reveal another image miraculously hidden behind the first one. Sorcery!

Anyway, the guys over at Fucking Awesome probably loved their hologram caps, as well, because there literally is no other field of application for hologram flip images than children’s toys. Thanks to Dill and AVE, the hologram image has made its way on skateboards. There was the Terminator one, and now it’s the King Nico deck for Tyshawn Jones. And guess what, it’s not as stupid as it sounds Well, it’s still hella stupid, but it also looks pretty damn cool when you’re kickflippin’ and you can see the image alternate. You’ll be the coolest kid in school, we guarantee you that, and you don’t even have to buy us candy to get your hands on one (although candy is always appreciated). Oh and before we forget, the new collection comprises a bunch of other decks, too. There are also hoodies and t-shirts with cool graphics of skulls and naked women and whatnot, but we mainly wanted to talk about the deck, because we think it’s just the tits.
