Kyle Ng and his crew over at Brain Dead thankfully do not care about polite upper-class decorum. For this collaboration, they dragged the Barricade V straight out of 2008, an absolute tank of a performance shoe originally engineered for violent lateral stops on hardcourts. Instead of sterile country club manners, this heavy chassis drips with a toxic, glossy Dark Green that looks like radioactive sludge oozing over open-cell mesh. It is a loud kick to the shin of country club snobbery, built to bring chaos to regular city pavements.

Industrial Chrome Shielding Built for Everyday Abuse

One look at this machine tells you it is not another fragile lifestyle sneaker. The lateral sidewalls are locked down by a massive cage of mirror-shine chrome stripes, while the toe box and medial arch carry thick ribbed rubber guards ready to deflect whatever you kick on the street. Down in the engine room, a massive chrome Torsion plate gives the midfoot enough rigidity to kick open locked doors if necessary. The segmented rubber outsole bites into the ground with deep herringbone grooves, while the Brain Dead face logo on the tongue and classic Adidas branding on the heel make sure nobody mistakes you for someone who follows the dress code.
