It’s been a long time coming, but it’s coming nonetheless: the all-new Bonkers in-house collection is available as of this writing. Continuing the tradition of collaborating with local artists and illustrators that are infinitely more capable than we are, we sat down with acclaimed artist and designer Stephan Ide to conjure up some graphics. Him being the fountainhead of ideas that he is (like, just look at his surname), Stephan, along with our team rider Julian Mack, created a bunch of designs that we happily slapped to our Germany-made t-shirts and hoodies. The designs themselves are informed by all sorts of pop and counterculture influences of the last 4 decades; as a result, the prevalent style for this collection is the collage. Staying true to the DIY spirit of subcultures, the graphics merge open-source material with original designs. Thematically, and appropriately for the City of Frankfurt, dichotomies reign supreme: health/drug abuse, nature/capitalism, romanticized autochthony/immigration, to name a few – y’all certainly find more if you’re looking for them. If you’re in Tokyo or Seoul by any chance, make sure to check out our collection at Prime and Prov skate shops, as well as at PalPal, respectively. As usual, you can cop our collection at our webshop and our store in Frankfurt.
