We’ve recently ranted on this blog that the skate shoe market is oversaturated with models that are becoming increasingly samey, and that many shoe manufacturers do little to make their models stand out from the crowd. Well, we’re the first to admit that we’ve been proven wrong: after their initial collab with Fucking Awesome, Adidas Skateboarding has now fully released their 3ST line-up that includes cryptic shoe names like 3ST.001 and 3ST.002. Despite having names that sound like fucking computer viruses, Adidas’ ultimate goal is evident: to produce top-notch skate shoes with a forward-thinking design, all while retaining great board feel and durability. And they succeeded: the 3ST.002 is made of lightweight Primeknit mesh that fits like a sock around your feet, while the grippy sole will keep you in control of your board. Without laces, the 3ST.002’s design is incredibly minimalistic and streamlined. The shoe comes in either all -lack or all-white. The 3ST.001, on the other hand, resembles conventional skate shoes more closely, yet its Ollie and heelflip protection pads (called ADITUFF, which is, again, an incredibly silly name) will catch eyes immediately. Both shoes have the HEELFLEX technology, which provide you with exceptional flexibility. You can buy the 3ST.001 and 3ST.002 PK both at our web store and at our shop in Frankfurt from April 5.
