In tandem with fellow team member Nora Vasconcellos’ signature Gazelle ADV, the collection was announced on International Women’s Day and is expected to drop in the very near future. Regarding Maité, the timing couldn’t have been better: the up-and-coming skateboarder, known and loved for her quirkiness and constant antics, just released From Broski To Proski, a skateboarding video featuring herself and her homies. Her Samba ADV features a black suede upper, white leather Adidas stripes, and a hidden layer beneath the t-toe cap that will emerge once the shoes wear down. Nora Vasconcellos, among the Thrasher’s Top Women & Non-Binary Skaters of 2019, retro-styled her Gazelle. adding a grey suede t-toe cap to the white nubuck upper. An embossed tag on the heel says “Gilda,” which is, we imagine, her mother’s name. And no, neither release is just for women. It’s 2021, and you can put big ass schlongs on female characters in mainstream video games. It’s time to get the fuck over your gender already.
