Frankfurt am Main isn’t an easy city. Between the skyline and the streets, the banking district and the train station, wealth and homelessness, there’s a contrast that hits harder than anywhere else in Germany. And that’s exactly what makes it special: Frankfurt is raw, loud, unpolished – and packed with skate spots that have drawn crews from all over Europe for decades.
Over the past few years, we’ve had regular visits from the Adidas Skateboarding team. What came out of those sessions can now be seen in the new clip “Spotlight Frankfurt”, filmed and edited by Torsten Frank, with additional footage by Moritz Mauch and Bennet Rahm. Vintage clips from the ’90s and early 2000s, filmed by Ingo Bremmes and Torsten Frank, bring back the city’s raw Hauptwache vibe – gritty, real, and full of character. No polish, no filters – just skateboarding in its purest form.
The clip blends new footage and classic Frankfurt spots with scenes from Stuff for Tricks and Go Skateboarding Day events, which we hosted together with Adidas Skateboarding. Old and new clips merge into an honest portrait of the Frankfurt skate scene – straight from the city that never slows down.
Featuring Lau Willems, Daniel Ledermann, Gui Silva, Anton Wesseley, Justin Sommer, Patrick Zentgraf, Patrick Rogalski, Lilli Werner, Dan Fisher, Jost Arens, and many more, the video captures moments that write skate history – including legendary shots of Keenan Milton skating the Hauptwache plaza.
Spotlight Frankfurt shows why this city belongs on the skateboarding map. Between cold concrete, tram tracks, and bank towers, there’s a heartbeat here – restless, wild, and always pushing the limit.
