Nike SB teamed up with the Swedes from Polar Skate Co. for a small limited release. The drop offers a Blazer Low as well as a Trainer 1. The latter’s become a rare sight in the skateboarding shoe biz: back in the early to mid-2000s, almost every Nike SB collection came with at least one Trainer 1. Polar’s take on the old-school sneaker features Polar lettering across the Velcro strap and a black/purple suede and leather upper. In addition, Blazer Low is a callback of sorts, as well: featuring the classic suede patches on the side and toe of the show, Polar’s Blazer takes its cues from the original basketball shoe from the 1970s. All in all, the Polar Skate Co. x Nike SB drop is a nice little throwback collection that’ll make you wanna pop in some old VHS into your dusty VCR and go skating with your pals from back in the day.
