15 Years of Dunk SB: Nike SB Dunk High “Gino Iannucci”

As you may be aware, 2017 marks the 15th anniversary of the Nike SB Dunk. Over the past few months, Nike SB has already re-imagined two of the most iconic Nike SB Dunks: the all-denim Reese Forbes Dunk and the clean-as-fuck Richard Mulder Dunk.  And since all good things come in threes, it’s now time to get hyped for one of the most memorable Nike SB's of all time, courtesy of one of the most memorable skateboarders of all time: Gino Iannucci. The NYC local has stirred up the skateboarding community like few, and unforgotten are his legendary parts in Girl’s Yeah Right! or Chocolate’s Hot Chocolate (Vice also did an Epicly Later’d episode on him which you should treat yourself to). High speed skating, great trick and spot choice and a style more relaxed than 90s baggie pants elevated Gino above many professional skateboarders, making him a living legend in the process. When Gino joined Nike SB, they were quick to let him design his own dedicated version of the Dunk – the basketball sneaker was Nike SB’s work horse when they entered the skateboarding industry way back in 2002. The all-black pair of shoes was (and still is) a favorite among many Dunk collectors. Now, 15 years later, Gino’s Dunk makes a comeback as a high-top, and we’re loving it. Needless to say, this Dunk is highly limited, so it won’t be collecting dust all day. And then you’ll have to wait another 15 years. That’d be a bummer, wouldn’t it? The Nike SB Dunk High by Gino Iannucci is now available both from our online shop and at our store in Frankfurt.
