Chewy Cannon, Southbank local and Palace Skateboards pro, is getting his colorway for the Liberty Cup, Adidas Skateboarding’s most recent release. Cannon, who is known for his buttery style and high-octane skating, also belongs to the elite Palace Wayward Boys’ Choir, which makes him a prime candidate to lend some street cred to the Liberty Cup. The shoe itself is defined by its strong 90s tennis aesthetic; thanks to Chewy’s interpretation, the design becomes even more striking. The black suede upper and its leather overlays contrast nicely with the gum sole, while Chewy’s name is embossed in gold onto the shoe’s lateral sides. From a technical perspective, the shoe holds up as well: adituff reinforcement and the adiprene sock liner provide stability and a snug fit, respectively. If you want to look like a real 90’s London street thug, wear some heavy track pants along with this one. You can buy Adidas Skateboarding’s Liberty Cup by Chewy Cannon from tomorrow October 12th at our web shop and our store in Frankfurt.
