2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the Adidas Superstar, one of the most iconic sneakers of all time. Coincidentally, the Superstar’s heydays in the 1970s and 80s were also the salad days of Adidas Skateboarding attaché Mark Gonzales. Both the Superstar’s and Mark’s influence on skateboarding can be felt to this day; as a result, it makes sense that the Gonz would take on the Superstar in what is the latest shoe collaboration between the artist and the brand with the three stripes. The Adidas Superstar ADV by Gonz comes with the latter’s famous cartoon character „Shmoo“ stitched in different colors onto the shoe’s white full-grain leather upper, giving it a playful look. It’s a pretty pleasant release for Spring, and it’ll make your masked existence in public a little less grim.
