Tyshawn Jones, Adidas Skateboarding team rider and 2018 SOTY awardee has invited his board sponsor, LA-based company Fucking Awesome, to release a collaborative special edition of the Tyshawn Pro shoe. Jones, who is one of the few skateboarders to make it into the New York Times Magazine, is known for his otherworldly pop and agility, demonstrating time and again that no flip trick is complicated enough to not make it fly over a goddamn picknick table. The Tyshawn Pro’s confident design emphasizes Jones’s aplomb, and the Adidas X FA collab doubles down on the shoe’s boldness: covered in radiant yellow suede upper, the shoe features FA’s word mark on the lateral sides. Black laces make for a nice contrast, giving the shoe a wasp-like appearance. Add adiprene sickliness and EVA midsoles for impact reduction. Even if your pop sucks ass, and your kickflips are so rocket-y that they’re falling under the War Weapons Control Act, the Adidas Skateboarding X Fucking Awesome Tyshawn will give you an instant boost of confidence.
