Ciao Crew presents: Hinterhofjargon
Share
With all its suits, homeless people, shiny skyscrapers and derelict backstreets, it’s easy to gain the impression that Frankfurt’s a city defined by bipolarities. And maybe that’s true. But it’s also true that our city is a place where people from different backgrounds come together in order to create shit. A prime example for interdisciplinary understanding is the Ciao Crew. The Ciao boys are predominantly BMXers, putting out sick videos and their own clothing line, but BMXing is just part of their story. Every member of the crew plays his part in a different way: graphic designers, graffiti artists, musicians and – brace yourself – even skateboarders add their respective talents to form something bigger than its parts. Yes, you heard that right: skateboarding and BMXing coexist peacefully in Frankfurt. While you can see Ciao stickers glued to virtually any lamp post, traffic light and junction box in the city, they’ve lately started to host their own parties – and you’re cordially invited to join us and the Ciao boys on October 29 at Stiftstrasse 22 for the next booze-fueled wingding, aptly named Hinterhofjargon for its location in an otherwise neglected backyard in downtown Frankfurt. So grab your friends and turn the fuck up.
