Deux Jours, Deux Nuits Magazine by Converse CONS

Admittedly, skateboarding magazines, fanzines, journals, diaries and coffee table books are a dime a dozen these days. Taking into account the constant influx of imagery on Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat, it’s not overstated to speak of a skateboarding media overkill and, as a consequence, separating the wheat from the chaff can be tougher than a two-dollar steak. Every once in a while, however, we receive something special, something drawing our interest. This time, it’s a little fanzine from Paris called Deux Jours, Deux Nuits. The paper was conceived by two Converse CONS ambassadors and legendary French photographer Benjamin Deberdt and features a couple of Paris-based skateboarders toying around in their city. The photos of Kevin Rodrigues, Remy Taveira et al are not only a testament for Deberdt’s talent, but also show the carefree atmosphere of skateboarding in Paris. Aside from the great photos, the first thing attracting our attention was the superior quality of print and paper. It feels great holding and browsing through it – which is remarkable, given that it’s a free zine. Better thank Converse for the money. And by the way, Deux Jours, Deux Nuits is not a regularly published zine but a one-time-only thing, so get your copy while they last at BONKERS now.
