Just in time for everybody’s favorite industry holiday, i.e. Valentine’s Day, Strangelove founder Sean Cliver, the legendary skateboard artist who’s most famous pieces include the Ray Barbee graphic for Powell back in the 80s, teamed up with Nike SB to produce a pair of limited edition SB Dunk Lows. Cliver’s company, Strangelove, has been around for quite a while now and has garnered the love of deck graphic and art enthusiasts alike. Cliver’s works are beloved for their high level of intricacy, a feat that is reflected in the Strangelove Dunks as well. For starters, the upper consists of white velvet tongue and base layers as well as pink suede overlays, red laces, and a red Swoosh. Embroidered at the lateral heel is one of Clive’s graphics, the Heart Skull, while integrated into the translucent outsole is a scattering of red and blue hearts. This is an incredibly detailed pair of sneakers, and it comes in an appropriately customized pink shoebox that features Cliver’s artistic take on classic Valentine’s greeting cards (spoiler: it’s a grinning skull in a heart-shaped frame). Included with the shoes are a bunch of stickers and a Strangelove art print. This is certainly one of the more eye-catching releases we’ll see this year, so make sure you’ll get your hands on pair.
