Berlin-based skate shop Civilist teamed up with Nike SB for a collaborative Dunk Low release. Mitte’s go-to destination for skateboarding needs has catered to Berlin’s skate scene for over a decade now, and whenever we’re in the German capitol, we make sure to drop by for a beer or two. Anyway, the Dunk Low is inspired by the colorful techno hype of the 90s and early 2000s, as you can see in the accompanying clip.
The special feature of the Nike SB X Civilist Dunk is the thermoreactive upper, meaning that it’ll change its color along with the temperature. Although the tech’s relatively common in the textile department, it is seldom used for footwear. As one of Germany’s few skate shops that are also known outside of the country, you know the street wear community would start a fucking civil war over this release. Luckily, only an Instagram raffle was approved by the Geneva Convention.
The raffle participation period is already expired, however, if you follow our Instagram account @bonkers_frankfurt, you will be one of the first to receive all the information about future raffles.
