Blueprint, one of the most beloved skateboard companies ever, went belly-up in 2013. Having lost their sponsor, Nick Jensen and Paul Shier, two of Blueprint’s former team riders, went on to create Isle Skateboards. The UK-based company is known for its impressive team roster and experimental art direction, as well as for the 2015 full-length feature Vase. Now, Isle Skateboards teamed up with Nike SB to create a special edition Blazer Mid QS: kept completely in black, the deconstructed classic features a suede upper, a line-stitched swoosh, and ISLE branding on the heel. The Blazer’s eye-catcher, however, is a canvas panel stitched to its lateral side. The panel features a cyanotype print created by Nick Jensen. Cyanotype is a photo printing technique that results in a cyan-blue print, or simply: blueprint. Get the reference? In addition to the side panels, the Nike Zoom Air sock liner features a cyanotype print as well. You can buy the Nike SB X Isle Zoom Blazer Mid QS at our web shop.
