Japanese toy – sorry, designer-figurine manufacturer Medicom and Nike SB have quite a history together, with their first collaboration dating back as far as 2005 when they released the second Bearbrick Dunk, named after Medicom’s most popular product. Some collectors, in an effort to fend off snide remarks pertaining to their mental age, refer to Medicom’s little figurines as “adult toys,” but we’re not sure that a phrase like “Do you want to see my adult toy collection?” evokes the intended association. Medicom toys are quite popular among street wear-savvy folk, with some Bearbrick releases achieving insane prices on the resell market. Since Nike SB can’t keep their hands off their old stuff, they’ve decided to rehash the second Bearbrick Dunk, and transformed it into a Dunk Elite. The shoe features a two-tone denim and canvas upper and Medicom logos slapped on the tongues. It’s a classic pair of kicks, that’s for sure. The collaboration is topped off by a co-branded hoodie and t-shirt. Oh, and we’re one of the few places you can buy the collection at, so there’s probably gonna be a line.
