New York local Gino Iannucci recently launched Poets, his own skate label (named after his old neighborhood of Poet’s Corner, Long Island), and now he’s designed a custom Bruin in order to promote it. Being a lifelong soccer fan, Gino tried to bring some European soccer flavor to his version of the Nike SB Zoom Bruin (which, incidentally, was conceived as a basketball shoe in the 70s). The result is a standout special edition featuring an oversized neon green Swoosh that covers both the black canvas upper and the black outsole, stretching almost all the way to the bottom. In addition, the heel features stitched POETS lettering. Gino’s Bruin is certainly not for the self-conscious, seeing as the giant bright swoosh can be spotted from a mile away. If you’re looking to ante up their Winter outfits, don’t look any further. You can buy the Nike SB X Poets Zoom Bruin QS from January 11th at our web shop and our store in Frankfurt.
