Amsterdam-based skateboarding company Pop Trading Company just dropped a small limited capsule collection centered around Dutch cartoon character Miffy (“Nijntje” in the Dutch language), a cute little doe originally designed by graphic designer Dick Bruna. Miffy is known to every kid in the Netherlands, thanks to her appearance in tons upon tons of children’s books, and she even had a TV show in the US and Canada. Despite turning 69 this year, little Miffy is still alive and kicking, as evidenced Pop’s capsule collection. The drop contains an assortment of t-shirts, a hoodie, a cord pant, a 6 panel cap and a pair of socks that prominently feature the little doe. If anything, it’s kinda refreshing to be reminded that the skate culture is capable of more than just trying to be as edgy as possible (and often quite obnoxiously so). You can buy the Pop Trading Company Miffy capsule collection from the 5th of May at our web shop and at our store in Frankfurt.
