The Quiet Life Spring 17

The Quiet Life Spring 17

Los Angeles-based apparel brand The Quiet Life has been around for 20 years now, which is quite a long time in the fast-paced industry. Founded in 1997 by Andy Mueller, the Quiet Life is heavily influenced by skateboarding, BMXing, photography and music, seeing as Andy’s well-skilled in all of these areas. When he’s not running his company, Andy gets busy designing decks for Girl and Chocolate Skateboards, shooting editorials for Fourstar and other skateboarding brands, and of course running the art direction for Lakai Ltd. Footwear.

So yeah, he’s an LA skateboarder slash graphic designer slash photographer, all right. The QL’s new collection recently hit our store, and as you might expect, it’s all summery, colorful and happy-go-fucking-lucky. There’s a windbreaker so multicolored it’s easy to confuse it with a TV test pattern, a vast array of five and six panel caps (both with and without bent visors) in all sorts of different colors, and a bunch of really nice-looking t-shirts. Our favorite’s the one reading “Worry about it tomorrow” which we find is a great philosophy of life. However, we feel that this is not reflective of Andy’s business practices, seeing as QL has managed to stay alive for twenty years. But what do we know? Anyway, since the temperatures are rising, you should get your happy camper outfit today. Or you’ll just worry about it tomorrow, or whatever. You can buy the QL stuff both online and at our shop in Frankfurt.
