Reebok X bronze 56K Part 2

Reebok X bronze 56K Part 2

As Bronze 56K and Reebok’s partnership enters its second year, the Boston-based sports equipment manufacturer dug up two pairs of vintage sneakers for Bronze to give the old make-over. For one, the Answer IV, Allan Iverson's signature basketball shoe that was released just after the beginning of the new Millennium. The other is the Reebok Classic Leather, the company’s insanely popular 1983 running shoe. The Answer IV is, well, a classic 2000 basketball sneaker and looks like the designers formed it out of one of Michelin Tyre Man’s ribs. It’s almost completely gray and white, save for the gum outsole and blue dice stitched next to the shoe’s zip-up tongue. The second shoe is much more conventional. So conventional, in fact, that Reebok didn’t even bother coming up with a cool name. Instead of Ambassador IX or Deliverance 69, sadly, it’s just “Classic Leather.“ It’s the most unspecific name ever given to a shoe. Anyway, the Classic *YAWN* Leather’s design is considerably less outrageous. It comes with grey suede overlays that contrast nicely with an orange Reebok logo sitting above blue panels. Also, Reebok’s and Bronze’s logos occupy equal space on the shoe’s tongue. Instead of looking like a Warhammer 40k Space Marine’s rubber slippers, they’re just 80’s running shoes. So there you have it, two vintage shoes are making a comeback thanks to Bronze 56k x Reebok's ongoing partnership: a spaceship and your dad’s running shoes. Get them while they’re hot, folks. You can buy the Bronze 56k x Reebok drop from tomorrow at our web shop and our store in Frankfurt.
