The return of the Adidas Samba

The return of the Adidas Samba

After almost 50 years, one of Adidas’ most iconic shoes gets reworked for skateboarding: the Samba. As you might’ve heard, this year marks the 10 year anniversary of Dennis Busenitz’ signature shoe. Reason enough for Adidas to merge the classic Busenitz Vulc model with the famous Samba silhouette, resulting in the Busenitz Vulc Samba Edition, a vulcanized hybrid complete with GeoFit construction and stitched toe caps. In related new, Adidas used the Samba as a basis for the brand-new Samba ADV skateboarding shoe, a technologically advanced version of the classic soccer shoe. While it looks decidedly more contemporary, you can still see the Samba behind the shoe’s design. Of course, this update is not only cosmetic but also features GeoFit technology, a wrap cup rubber outsole and a heel stabilizer. You can buy both Sambas in-store and online.
