Up To Speed: The Dennis Busenitz Documentary

Up To Speed: The Dennis Busenitz Documentary

In 2006, Dennis Busenitz was assigned his first pro model on Adidas Skateboarding. Right, that was exactly ten years ago. Time just flew by like a dandelion in a summer breeze. Which, honestly, shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who has seen Dennis skating and hill-bombing at stomach-churning velocities. Dennis was literally unstoppable over the last decade: he received two pro-models, won Thrasher’s Skater of the Year in 2011, and continues to turn out high-speed video parts like a madman. So yeah, for a man this busy, time goes by really, realy fast.

“But wait!”, says the expert on physics. “Doesn’t Einstein’s law of general relativity assert that time actually moves slower for people travelling near the speed of light?” Uh… sure, dude. That’s why Dennis Busenitz looks so fucking young at 35. He’s simply to fast to age like the rest of us shitty-looking mortals. He’s like Matthew McConaughey in that Interstellar movie, with one exception: when Dennis fell through that wormhole, he didn’t Morse stupid science shit to his daughter but instead learned how to fucking tre-bomb at Mach 3. So, without further ado, we recommend you watch his “Up to Speed” documentary produced by Thrasher. It’s all about Dennis: his upbringing and first steps on the board in Munich, his way into pro skateboarding and his life in general. Spiced up with some rad skating, of course. Enjoy.
