Vans partnered with our friends from Copenhagen’s best skateshop, Streetmachine. Paying homage to CPH’s most iconic skate spots (of which there are probably more than Vans models in existence), the drop features the Sk8-Low Pro and Mid Skool Pro. Both shoes not really ubiquitous, and Vans x Streetmachine’s collaboration is the first time they get the Pro treatment, including Duracap reinforcement and Ultracush impact protection. Anyway, the Sk8-Low Pro’s design is inspired by Israel’s Plaza in downtown Copenhagen, which was built in the 80s and continues to be a popular meeting and warm-up spot, as well as by Jarmers Plaza, a pretty decent ledge spot in close vicinity to Israel’s Plaza (if you didn’t know, every street in CPH is littered with skate spots). You’ll find the names of both spots in the insoles of the Sk8-Low Pro and the Mid Skool Pro, respectively. The drop is limited to a select few skate shops, including Bonkers, and will release today. You can buy the Vans x Streetmachine collaboration at our web shop and our store in Frankfurt.
