Did you ever want to hear Call Me 917’s origin story? Well, too bad, because we’re telling you anyway. When NYC local and Nike SB pro skater Alex Olson started Bianca Chandôn a couple of years ago, he ran an answering machine where people could inquire about the new brand. The number was (917) 692-2706. Alex didn’t want Bianca Chandôn to become a skate brand; at the same time, he was eager to support NYC street skaters with apparel and decks. When Chandôn launched, the number became useless, and so he used it to label his experimental brand Call Me 917. Today, Call Me 917 is a popular core brand exclusively sold to select skate shops. The design of Call Me’s apparel and decks is as eclectic as it gets; the graphics range from simple to bold prints, and from minimalist lettering to elaborate drawings. More often than not, Call Me 917 is inspired by Americana and vintage motifs, as evidenced by the Hugooo long sleeve, for instance. In other news, Call Me just released a brand new full-length video, so make sure to check it out. Listed as team riders for Call Me are, among others, Alex Olson, Vincent Touzery, Max Palmer and Cyrus Bennett. You can buy Call Me 917 at our webshop and our store in Frankfurt.
