Dear readers, when we started Bonkers in our dusty attic seven years ago, never had we dared to imagine that, one day, we’d be one of the most (in)famous skate shops in Germany. All we ever cared about was skateboarding. Our firm belief in skater-owned companies and in brands that go the extra mile to foster the community has enabled us to be more than just another skate shop: Bonkers has become a platform for skateboarding culture. Now, after seven years of many exhibitions, two Jams of Mainhattan, and countless hangovers, we feel it’s time to celebrate the occasion with a special anniversary collection that we made in collaboration with Carhartt WIP. Carhartt has always been supportive of skateboarding and the culture behind it, so we couldn’t wish for a better partner. The collection comprises two t-shirts and two heavy-duty hoodies, each available in both black and white. We’re friends of minimalism, so we kept the designs simple, working with complementary colors and a Ligne Claire aesthetic instead of showing off with extensive prints and obtrusive coloring. Anyway, the collection releases at our store in Frankfurt on Saturday, November 4. and at our onlineshop from Wednesday November 8. By the way, the date coincides with our anniversary party, so drop by, bring your friends, check out the collection, and have a beer – it’s on us.
