Melbourne-based streetwear label Perks and Mini (P.A.M.), which was founded by an Australian couple back in 2000, recently joined forces with work wear behemoth Carhartt WIP for a colorful, rather boisterous collection named “Radio Club.” Paying homage to the Neanderthal technology, the collection “ draws on a selection of vintage QSL cards, once designed to either confirm two-way radio communication between independent broadcasters, or the two-way reception by a third party listener.” This is what it reads on Carhartt’s web site anyway, but since we’re no telecommunications technicians, we’re just as clueless as to what the fuck they’re talking about as you probably are. At any rate, the collab is very nice to look at, making ample use of large-scale prints and lettering. The collection is dominated by light colors such as pink (no surprises there) and rather artful graphics, giving your outfit just the right edge to survive a day longer on Instagram. You can buy the Carhartt WIP x Perks and Mini collection both at our store in Frankfurt or online.
